Guess The Note is a piano ear-training app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and what it doesn't do.
If you use the in-app Feedback form, the message you write (and your email address, if you choose to provide one — it's optional) is sent directly to Web3Forms, a third-party form relay service, which forwards it to the developer's email inbox so we can read and respond to it.
No other information is included in that submission — no device identifiers, no usage history, no location data. If you don't use the Feedback form, nothing is ever sent.
The Feedback form is not shown to users in mainland China, since the third-party service it relies on is not reliably reachable there.
Your current streak, best streak, and accuracy are kept in memory while you play and reset when you close the app or start a new session. This data is never written to disk, never leaves your device, and is not accessible to us.
The app does not request location permission and does not use Core Location or any IP-geolocation service. It reads your device's configured region and time zone (standard, public system settings — the same information any app can read without a permission prompt) solely to determine whether to show the Feedback form. This information is never transmitted anywhere or stored.
The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and does not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not show ads and does not track you across apps or websites.
Guess The Note does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only personal information the app can ever transmit (an email address) is optional, typed in voluntarily by the user through the Feedback form.
